Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Falaq Solutions handles information for Falaq Pixel, including ecommerce event data, advertising identifiers, retention, subprocessors, and contact options.

Who operates Falaq Pixel

Falaq Pixel is provided under the Falaq Solutions trade name. The Arabic legal name is شركة فلق العالمية لإدارة المشاريع. The English legal name is still to be confirmed where required for formal contracting.

Falaq Solutions is based in Kuwait. You can contact us at support@falaq.solutions.

What we collect

Falaq Pixel helps merchants route ecommerce events from connected stores on Shopify, Salla, or Zid to selected advertising and marketing platforms. Depending on a merchant's configuration, the service may process:

  • Store and account identifiers needed to operate the app.
  • Event details such as page views, product views, add-to-cart events, checkout activity, purchases, order identifiers, timestamps, currency, value, and product metadata.
  • Customer and visitor identifiers supplied by the merchant platform or browser, such as email address, phone number, IP address, user agent, click IDs, cookies, and platform-specific event identifiers.
  • Technical logs needed to keep the app working, investigate delivery issues, and protect the service.

Merchants decide which platforms they enable and what data they send through Falaq Pixel. Merchants are responsible for their own notices, consent flows, and lawful basis for using the service.

How we use information

We use information to provide, maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve Falaq Pixel. This includes receiving ecommerce events, normalizing event payloads, forwarding events to configured destinations, preventing abuse, analyzing app performance, and communicating with merchants about support or account matters.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use merchant event data to build unrelated consumer profiles.

Data residency

Falaq Pixel is designed to store application data in the European Union, currently in AWS eu-central-1 through our database and hosting providers. Some subprocessors or destination platforms may process data in other regions under their own terms and privacy policies.

Retention

By default, Falaq Pixel retains event and operational records for 24 months unless a shorter period is required by law, requested by the merchant, or needed for deletion after account closure. Aggregated or de-identified records may be retained when they no longer identify a merchant customer or visitor.

Saudi Arabia (PDPL)

For merchants and shoppers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Falaq Pixel processes personal data in accordance with the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL). Order and customer data is processed solely on the merchant's behalf — the merchant is the data controller and Falaq acts as a data processor. Personal identifiers (email, phone, and name) are hashed with SHA-256 before transmission to advertising and analytics platforms; raw personal data is encrypted at rest and retained only for the periods described in this policy. Merchants remain responsible for obtaining any shopper consent their jurisdiction requires.

Subprocessors

We use the following subprocessors and destination platforms to provide Falaq Pixel. A platform receives data only when it is used to provide the service or when a merchant configures that destination.

Google Ads API access

Falaq Pixel connects to a merchant's own Google Ads account through the Google Ads API. The only scope Falaq Pixel requests from Google is https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords.

What we access

After a merchant authorises the connection, Falaq Pixel reads the list of Google Ads accounts the authorising user can manage, including the account ID, descriptive name, currency, time zone, and whether the account is a manager account, so the merchant can choose which account should receive conversions. Falaq Pixel also reads campaign-level cost figures for the connected account so merchants can see advertising spend alongside the conversions we report.

What we write

Falaq Pixel uploads purchase conversions originating from the merchant's own connected store to the merchant's own Google Ads account. Falaq Pixel does not create, edit, pause, or delete campaigns, ad groups, ads, budgets, or keywords.

Why a narrower scope is not possible

The Google Ads API exposes a single OAuth scope, https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords. Google does not offer a narrower read-only or conversion-upload-only scope, so this is the least privileged permission that allows the feature to function.

How we use Google user data

Google user data obtained through this scope is used solely to provide the conversion reporting and conversion upload features described above. It is not used for targeted advertising, for lending decisions, for building consumer profiles, or to develop, improve, or train AI or machine learning models.

Transfer of Google user data

We do not sell Google user data. We do not transfer it to third parties other than the infrastructure subprocessors listed above, currently Vercel and Neon, which host and store it on our instructions and under their own terms.

Protection of Google user data

Google OAuth access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest in our database using symmetric encryption, are transmitted only over TLS, and are accessible only to the merchant account that authorised the connection.

Retention and deletion of Google user data

Google tokens and the account metadata described above are retained for as long as the merchant keeps the connection active. Disconnecting the ad account inside Falaq Pixel, or deleting the Falaq Pixel account, removes the stored tokens. Merchants may also revoke access at any time from their Google Account permissions page. Related operational records follow the 24-month retention period described above.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate for the current service, such as access controls, encrypted transport where supported, and operational logging. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

Merchants may request access, correction, export, or deletion of account data by contacting support@falaq.solutions. If you are a customer or visitor of a merchant using Falaq Pixel, please contact that merchant first because they control the ecommerce relationship and the data they send to us.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service changes. The Last Updated date shows when this page was last revised.
